Spring is just around the corner, and it is already a hot one! Just a quick note to inform you of upcoming events. On May 20th we will be holding another awesome beach party event at the Best Western in Cocoa Beach. I will post details on the website so if you have not signed up for that please do today! RSVP to Dee at the Union Hall 407-291-7808. The Local will pay for one room on Saturday night for members in good standings. There are 49 suites that are 1st come 1st serve reservations. All others will be placed in standard hotel rooms. Everyone will have accommodations if you choose to stay overnight. There will be fun and games and prizes. Not to mention food and lots of comradery. If you have missed it before, please make plans to join us!
April 1st is the clay shoot in Sumterville. The local has sponsored 2 teams. If you would like to join, please call Dee at Union hall. As of today, 5 spots are still open.
Great news to report, Glen Roberts is home and doing well with his family. Wes Herndon is back at work and doing good. Both families are extremely grateful for all the thoughts and prayers from their Union family!
If you have not signed up to IUEC Local 139 website, please do immediately. This will keep you up to date on things happening in Local 139. We will eventually be communicating using this tool instead of paper mailouts. Please register at https://www.iueclocal139.com/ be sure to add cell phone # and provider along with an email address so you can receive information.
Below is a breakdown of 2nd quarter 2023 dues. Please remember payments must be received BEFORE April 1, 2023 to qualify for $ 30.00 early pay discount.
Dues for the 2nd Quarter of 2023 are as follows:
NEBA Mechanic hourly rate $ 49.28 x 10 per quarter = $ 492.80
IUEC per capita $72.00 per month X 3 = $ 216.00
Defense fund per quarter $ 15.00
Retirement Assessment (Jay Burke & Marc Gutterman ) $ 20.00
Convention Fee $ 6.00
International Death Assessment (Jean Benoit Rodrigue Local 101) $ 5.00
Total Dues for 2nd Quarter 2023 $ 754.80
Discount if paid BEFORE April 2023 $ 724.80
Reduced Dues for 2nd qtr. 2023 (Must qualify) $ 508.40
As always, Late fees on 2nd quarter dues will start on Monday April 10, 2023, at 5PM at $ 25.00 per week.
